Choose the correct name-change route
The BESCOM homepage offers name change with EPID and without EPID. Use the route matching your property records and follow its verification prompts. Changing a website profile name is not a substitute for transferring the electricity connection.
Preparation checklist
Gather these records before signing in. This is a preparation list, not a universal list of mandatory uploads: the chosen official form determines what your case needs.
- Latest electricity bill with account ID, RR number and existing consumer name.
- Property ownership or transfer records relevant to your case; keep EPID details ready if using that route.
- Applicant contact details and access to the mobile needed for official verification.
- Any consent, supporting document or declaration requested by the selected application.
Apply and preserve the request record
For the dashboard route, select Name change/Change of Ownership under Janasnehi Vidhyuth Sevagalu, then select the correct account. Complete the required fields and uploads. Save the request ID after submission, and download the submitted form and demand letter when available.
What does BESCOM name change cost?
Use the amount and breakdown generated for your application. Save the official receipt with the request ID. A price quoted for somebody else’s property can be a poor guide to your own request; this page does not publish a universal transfer fee.
Track approval and check the bill
Open official name-change tracking with the saved reference. If the service requests a correction, address that specific item and retain the response. After approval, compare the consumer name and account on the utility record and subsequent bill. If they disagree, contact BESCOM with the approval and request ID.
