TNEB / TNPDCL Bill Status, Payment & Advance Balance
Use TNPDCL’s official Bill Status service to review your Tamil Nadu electricity account. TNEB and TANGEDCO are common search names for this journey. Bill dues, payment records and an advance-payment balance are different; this guide does not assume your meter is prepaid.

How do I check my TNEB bill status?
Open the official Bill Status page. Enter the service connection number and registered mobile number, then complete the displayed CAPTCHA yourself. Follow the portal’s prompts to view the account. Confirm that the connection shown matches your bill. PowerCutStatus does not ask for these private details.
Where do I check payment or advance balance?
The TNPDCL payment FAQ directs consumers to payment reports in the login and to Bill Status. For advance payments, it identifies the Advance Amount and Pending Amt fields in the consumption and miscellaneous collection details. Read the relevant account record rather than treating an advance as a prepaid smart-meter balance.
Money debited but no receipt?
Check the bank debit and the utility’s payment report before making another payment. TNPDCL’s FAQ advises against paying the same service again when the bank is already debited while a transaction is being reconciled. Keep the transaction reference and ask the utility about unresolved credit. Payment confirmation does not establish that supply has returned.
