MSEDCL / MSEB Bill Status & Prepaid Recharge Guide
For a Mahavitaran or MSEB bill query, first check that your bill names MSEDCL. Use View/Pay Bill for dues; use the separate prepaid service only if your connection is prepaid. PowerCutStatus does not retrieve your balance or take payments.

How to check MSEDCL bill dues
Open View/Pay Bill and choose the applicable consumer type. Keep the 12-digit consumer number and BU or circle details from your bill ready, then complete the official verification prompts. Bill access may require OTP authentication. Enter these details on the utility service, not here.
Is my smart meter balance the same as bill dues?
A smart meter does not by itself tell you whether the account is prepaid. Confirm the billing arrangement on your bill or with MSEDCL. A postpaid amount due and an available prepaid balance are different figures. Use the prepaid service only for an eligible prepaid account.
Paid but the bill or balance has not changed?
Compare the utility account record with the bank transaction and receipt for the same connection. Save the reference, amount and payment time. Use the payment complaint option in official WSS or the Mahavitaran app if they disagree. A bank debit alone does not verify account credit or restoration; check an outage separately.
