Cyclone Arnab Power Cut: Tamil Nadu Strike Warning

Coastal restoration checks, Tamil Nadu’s reported strike warning, Haryana talks and household billing questions as of 28 October 2026.

Cyclone Arnab power cut reports followed the storm’s crossing of the Andhra Pradesh–Yanam coast on October 28. IMD confirmed the landfall; reports described damaged poles and interrupted coastal supply. For households awaiting electricity, the question is local: what has their supplier confirmed for their address?

Cyclone Arnab power cut: local restoration checks

Kakinada power restoration after Cyclone Arnab

For homes in Kakinada and Konaseema, a storm report cannot show whether their own supply is back. Kakinada power restoration and Konaseema electricity updates need three details: the area, the supplier and the time.

Cyclone Arnab: APEPDCL and APCPDCL power checks

Consumers looking for APEPDCL outage status or an APCPDCL power cut update should start with the company on their bill. For that reason, a notice for another area does not show whether their home has power.

Likewise, power coming back nearby does not mean it is back in every home. However, the available reports give no common restoration deadline. If the supplier gives no time for your area, the return time is still unknown.

Use our Andhra Pradesh and Odisha power-cut guide for utility routes. Weather reports and supply reports answer different questions. Keep that distinction clear in Cyclone Arnab power cut coverage.

Tamil Nadu electricity strike: November 2026 warning

Meanwhile, power unions in Tamil Nadu have warned of a strike. Seventeen unions have joined a campaign against smart-meter plans, public-private partnership projects and rules on jobs.

An October 13 DT Next report said unions warned of a walkout after November 2 if demands remained unresolved. However, that does not mean a strike will start on a firm date.

Nor does the TNPDCL smart meter protest mean homes will face blackouts. Check the latest union notice, the utility’s reply and plans to keep supply running before predicting disruption. Official confirmation is awaited.

For readers following a TNEB strike warning, the key questions concern the plans, workers’ demands and effects on service. Claims about lost jobs or higher bills need their own proof.

Haryana talks and Eleven Power licence status

Haryana employees withdrew their strike on October 23 after discussions with the state government. The New Indian Express reported Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s assurance against privatisation. It also identified November 3 as the next meeting on remaining demands.

However, the legal position is a separate question. HERC’s record confirms its October 19 order concerning Eleven Power’s licence for Gurugram and Nuh. The government’s stand does not prove that the licence has been finally cancelled.

Our Haryana power-strike follow-up and Eleven Power licence explainer address those distinctions. Check that the reported November 3 meeting is still on before treating its date as firm. It does not mean another strike is certain.

PSPCL wrong bill complaints: limits of the relief

The Times of India reported on September 29 that PSPCL directed offices to suspend domestic disconnections arising from incorrect or inflated bills. The report linked the problem to billing-system migration and average or presumptive billing.

This reported Punjab electricity disconnection relief covers only bills that meet the stated conditions. It is not a blanket payment waiver. Therefore, check whether the order covers your account and is still in force.

For a PSPCL inflated bill, retain the bill, reading details and payment record when seeking clarification. Our high electricity bill checklist helps separate consumption from charges. The complaint-numbers directory provides routes to published utility contacts.

BESCOM FPPCA October 2026: figures remain unresolved

Reports dated October 20–23 linked Bengaluru electricity bill adjustments to higher power-purchase costs. Yet the amounts differ substantially. The New Indian Express reported approximately 0.5 paise per unit, while Public TV described 45–50 paise.

Therefore, those figures cannot be used interchangeably. Check the official order and bill period before treating either figure as an amount due. Our BESCOM FPPCA charges explainer keeps that uncertainty explicit.

Himachal protests and Jalandhar service delays

Amar Ujala reported on October 25 that a committee formed after opposition began in Kapahra panchayat, in the Bilaspur/Ghumarwin area. The group discussed meter changes and complaints about power being cut. The Himachal smart meter protest included plans for wider outreach. However, that does not mean a statewide movement is already in place.

Separately, The Tribune reported service disruption during the October 21–22 PSPCL Jalandhar protest. Counters closed, delaying connections, name changes and load enhancement. Employees’ demands included DA arrears and the old pension scheme. Extra staff protected supply. The report does not show that a shutdown is still in progress.

Taken together, Cyclone Arnab power cut reports, labour disputes and bill complaints reflect three regional themes: storm damage, employee resistance to service changes and household billing anxiety. They do not establish a nationwide electricity crisis. Check a dated supplier update or the right order before acting on a headline.
