Cyclone Arnab power cuts in Kakinada and Konaseema: restoration and complaint help

Find your locality or PIN, understand the dated restoration reports, and raise or follow up an APEPDCL electricity complaint.

Still without electricity in Kakinada or Konaseema after Cyclone Arnab? Search your village, town or six-digit PIN on PowerCutStatus, choose the exact locality and check the evidence shown. For a restoration estimate or an official complaint, contact APEPDCL on 1912. A postal search result identifies a place; it does not prove that power is on or off there.

Source review: 29 October 2026, IST. This guide brings together dated restoration reporting, searches for affected and nearby places, and practical complaint steps. It is not a live list of disconnected homes. We have not verified a feeder-level restoration time for each place below.

What the latest reviewed restoration reports say

The 29 October Konaseema district review reported a target of Thursday evening, 29 October, for urban supply and Friday morning, 30 October, for rural supply. These are district targets. They do not confirm that a particular ward, transformer or service connection has been repaired.

A separate collector’s update described more than 8,000 damaged poles across Konaseema and over 2,000 electricity personnel deployed for restoration. Those numbers describe the district, not Amalapuram or any single mandal.

For Kakinada and the wider network, a 28 October report quoting APEPDCL’s managing director described repairs in Kakinada, Konaseema and West Godavari. A broad regional repair estimate must not be treated as a deadline for your street. Akashvani’s 29 October update also reported continuing repair work in Kakinada and the Godavari districts.

If a stated target has passed and your home is still without power, follow up against your complaint reference and ask which local fault remains. Do not assume the district announcement means your complaint is already resolved.

Find your place in the existing electricity search

The following links open our normal PIN-based electricity checker. They cover the main places residents are searching for and nearby postal areas. They are not a claim that every listed place has an active outage. Names and PINs were checked against India Post’s Andhra Pradesh circle directory. A mandal may contain several PINs, and a PIN may contain several villages.

For Mummidivaram, I. Polavaram, Antarvedi and Peruru, use the separate locality record. Do not use a neighbouring town’s PIN simply because its name appears in a news report.

Our named-area search also recognises Vasalatippa, Perurupeta, Gopayilanka, Nakka Rameswaram, Konapapet, Suradapeta, Ameenabad, Jaggarajupeta, Mayapatnam, Subbampeta, Golilapeta, Indiranagar, Moothanagara, Mahalakshmi Nagar and Kakinada Rural. Where we have not verified the exact postal association, the result says PIN not verified and opens the normal district directory with help for that named area. We do not attach a guessed PIN or feeder.

What the area reports actually establish

Local reporting described inspections and clearance work in Amalapuram Municipality. It also described relief-centre visits in the wider Konaseema region. A visit or an evacuation is evidence of storm impact; it does not establish which homes have electricity now.

Coastal reporting named Uppada, Konapapet and Moolapet in the Pithapuram area in connection with high waves. Do not transfer that report to every street in Pithapuram town. The New Indian Express reported damaged electrical infrastructure and a fallen-pole incident in Sakhinetipalli. Keep away from damaged equipment even when nearby buildings appear to have no supply.

For Allavaram, Mamidikuduru, Uppalaguptam, Razole and Karapa, the reviewed restoration material does not provide a reliable current feeder-by-feeder list. The useful next step is an exact-location enquiry to the utility, not another unsupported return-time prediction.

How to raise an APEPDCL power-cut complaint

  1. Keep the right details ready. Use the service number printed on your electricity bill, the exact village or municipal ward, a landmark, when supply stopped and whether neighbouring homes are also affected. Give the service number privately to the utility.
  2. Call 1912 or use APEPDCL’s official complaint-registration page. The online form asks for an 8- or 16-digit consumer service number and has image verification. Complete the utility’s form yourself; searching on PowerCutStatus does not register a complaint.
  3. Describe the fault clearly. Say whether the whole street is affected, only your home is affected, or there is a visible fallen wire or damaged pole. Do not approach equipment to investigate.
  4. Ask for a reference. Note the complaint ID and the time you contacted APEPDCL. Ask whether your feeder or transformer has a recorded fault and whether a restoration estimate is available.
  5. Follow up using the same ID. Open APEPDCL’s 1912 complaint-status page. If the complaint says resolved but supply is still off, call with the reference and explain that your connection remains affected.

For published office contacts, use the utility’s Konaseema district directory or Kakinada district directory. Ask which section office serves your connection. Use the published contacts to confirm the section responsible for your service number.

A simple way to explain your complaint

“There is no electricity at [village/ward and landmark] since [time and date]. Nearby homes are [also affected / not affected / not checked]. My service number is [give it privately]. Please confirm the fault on my feeder or transformer, tell me the restoration estimate if one is available, and give me the complaint reference.”

What to do — and what not to do

  • Do: keep people away from fallen wires, damaged poles and flooded electrical equipment. Report the exact location to 1912. A wire can become live again without warning.
  • Do: ask a neighbour whether they have mains supply or are using an inverter or generator. A lit house is not proof that the street’s normal supply has returned.
  • Do: prioritise essential phone and medical-device charging and contact your care provider if a medical device needs uninterrupted electricity. Do not wait on a news estimate for urgent care.
  • Do not: touch or move a cable, climb a pole, open a meter or transformer, enter water near electrical equipment, or attempt a temporary connection.
  • Do not: run a fuel-burning generator indoors or in an enclosed space. Do not connect its output directly to house wiring or the utility supply; use a qualified electrician and appropriate transfer arrangements.
  • Do not: share a service number, mobile number or full home address in public comments. Share account details only through the utility’s official channel.

Questions residents are likely to have

If electricity has not returned in your village, these answers explain what to check and what to ask APEPDCL.

When will electricity return in Amalapuram?

The reviewed district report gave an urban restoration target for 29 October evening. It did not confirm each Amalapuram ward. If your street is still off, call 1912 with your ward, landmark and complaint ID, and ask which local repair remains and whether there is a revised estimate.

Is the power cut in Pithapuram the same as the one in Uppada?

Not necessarily. Coastal reporting names Uppada and nearby villages, while Pithapuram town can have different local faults. Search the exact place and confirm the feeder with APEPDCL. A report about high waves on the coast is not confirmation that every Pithapuram connection is disconnected.

How do I report no electricity in Karapa?

Call 1912 or register online using your service number. Say “Karapa mandal” and give the village or street, for example Vakada or Kandregula if that is where you live. Ask whether the fault is on your transformer or an upstream feeder. Karapa’s town postal record is 533462; do not use it as a feeder identifier.

What should Mamidikuduru and Razole residents do if the restoration target is missed?

Use your actual village and existing complaint reference when following up. Mamidikuduru and Razole have different postal records and may be served by different local circuits. Ask whether the reported rural target applies to your connection and request a revised estimate. We have not verified one return time for the whole region.

How do I check electricity status in Allavaram or Uppalaguptam?

Use the exact village name or your own PIN. Allavaram’s postal record is 533217, while Uppalaguptam’s is 533222. Search your own locality or select the correct office under your PIN. Postal boundaries and electricity-feeder boundaries are different, so also confirm your service connection with APEPDCL.

I am in Sakhinetipalli or Antarvedi and can see a fallen wire. Should I wait for restoration?

Keep away and call 1912 to report a safety hazard with the exact landmark. Do not touch the wire or assume it is dead because your home has no power. Sakhinetipalli and Antarvedi also have different postal lookups, so give the actual village rather than only the nearest town.

Why does a Vasalatippa or Konapapet search say the PIN is not verified?

The place name is recognised, but we have not verified a single postal association that safely covers the addresses residents may mean. You can still open its district help and contact APEPDCL. Use the PIN from your bill or a verified postal record; we will not substitute a nearby PIN just to make the result look complete.

Why is Odalarevu listed as Vodalarevu, and Rajole as Razole?

Those are common alternate spellings. Search now connects Odalarevu to the Vodalarevu postal record and Rajole to Razole in Konaseema. Check the district and PIN before selecting: similarly named places elsewhere in India can have different electricity providers.

My PIN shows several places. Which electricity result should I select?

Select the village, street-area or postal office that matches your address, rather than the first suggestion. A shared PIN does not mean all its localities have the same fault. If your specific hamlet is not mapped, use the named-area result or ask APEPDCL which section and feeder serve your service number.

The page has no outage notice. Does that mean my power is back?

No. A missing notice can mean the utility has not published an update or that our source cannot identify your street. Check your own supply safely, use recent local evidence and contact APEPDCL. Report restoration only after checking your connection.

PowerCutStatus is an independent information service. The dates, sources and limits above are part of the answer. We do not guarantee restoration times or treat a directory entry as a live outage report.
